Gov. Malloy: It's Time for the State to Look for Ways to Address Gender Wage Disparity
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Connecticut Department of Labor, led by Commissioner Sharon Palmer, and the Department of Economic and Community Development, led by Commissioner Catherine Smith, will study the factors that contribute to the gender wage gap in Connecticut's workforce and make recommendations for actions that will eliminate that inequity.

Gov. Malloy: Sandy Hook Advisory Commission to Hold First Meeting, Hear Presentations from Key Experts
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission, chaired by Hamden Mayor Scott Jackson, will hold its first meeting on Thursday, January 24, during which they will receive information on the status of the Sandy Hook Elementary School investigation and then will hear presentations from experts who were directly involved in the aftermath of the Columbine and Virginia Tech tragedies.

Gov. Malloy Gives Final Approval to #NextGenCT
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has signed a legislative initiative he proposed earlier this year called "Next Generation Connecticut" (#NextGenCT). The plan will invest $1.5 billion in UConn to support major expansions across three campuses, bring thousands of jobs to the state, and, over the next ten years, catalyze hundreds of millions of dollars in research investment and business activity.
