Gov. Malloy: State Offers Advice to Homeowners During this Season's Snow Thaw
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today said that with winter weather appearing to finally loosen its grip on Connecticut and warmer temperatures steadily approaching, homeowners should caution themselves and keep an eye on indoor leaking as the deep snow pack on roofs and surrounding building foundations begins to melt.

On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make an announcement about a Second Chance Society initiative regarding youth crime prevention, as well as hold a roundtable discussion on the topic. He will be joined in the discussion by Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra, state Department of Education Acting Commissioner Dr. Dianna Wentzell, Hartford Superintendent Dr. Beth Schiavino-Narvaez, state Child Advocate Sarah Eagan, and other state and local officials.

Gov. Malloy: Program that Effectively Disrupts School-to-Prison Pipeline Should be Expanded
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today visited the Sarah J. Rawson School in Hartford to highlight the school's success in disrupting the pathway to the juvenile justice system through Connecticut's School-Based Diversion Initiative (SBDI). Expansion of the SBDI program into the six school districts with the highest arrest rates for school offenses is part of Governor Malloy's Second Chance Society legislative package

Malloy will lead the grand opening ceremony to mark the beginning of service on CTfastrak - Connecticut's first-ever bus rapid transit system serving Central Connecticut. On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the True Colors 22nd annual conference in Storrs. The event is the largest LGBTQIA youth conference in the country, bringing together social service agencies, schools, organizations, and communities together to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognized and competently met.
