Gov. Malloy: Energy Efficiency Measures to Save the State Millions Annually
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that new energy efficiency measures now planned for Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) in Middletown and several Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices throughout the state will reduce energy costs at those locations by more than $3.3 million per year. The measures are being implemented under the state's "Lead by Example" initiative, which was designed to reduce energy use in state and local government buildings.

Malloy today announced that his request for a major disaster declaration with snow assistance for federal aid in connection with the January blizzard for New Haven County has been approved by President Barack Obama. President Obama has now approved Governor Malloy's entire disaster declaration request for the January blizzard.

Gov. Malloy Reminds Residents that Atlantic Hurricane Season Begins June 1
With the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season beginning June 1, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today is reminding Connecticut residents to be prepared for any severe weather that may impact the state. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the principal threat period for Connecticut occurring between mid-August and mid-October.

Gov. Malloy, State Officials Urge Connecticut Residents to Check Vehicles for Possible Airbag Recall
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), and the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) are urging residents to seek information regarding the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall - affecting nearly 34 million vehicles made by at least 11 companies - because of Takata-made airbags.
